Set up Home & Away™ Voicemail

This is voicemail reinvented. If you selected Voicemail as a Calling Feature with your service, you automatically get this fully customized voicemail service built around you – for your unique lifestyle.

Set Up Home and Away Voice Mail
  1. Dial *98 from your home phone.
  2. Enter your temporary password. Please note – your temporary password is the last four digits of your phone number. For example, if your phone number is 416-555-1234, your temporary password is 1234.
  3. Press # to begin setting up your mailbox.
  1. Choose a new Voicemail password (it needs to be 4-10 digits long) and enter it now.
  2. Press 1 to confirm your new password.
  3. Record your first and last name after you hear the tone.
  4. Press # after you’ve recorded your name, and press 1 to confirm.
  1. Press 1 to record your own personal greeting. (Or press 2 to choose a standard greeting.)
  2. Record your personal greeting after you hear the tone.
  3. Press # after you’ve recorded your personal greeting, and listen to the playback.
  4. If you’re happy with your recording, press 1 to complete your Voicemail activation.

Congratulations! Your Voicemail is set up and ready to go.

With three way calling

Now you can add a third caller to a phone call you’re already on. It’s as easy as 1 2 3:

  1. When you’re on the phone with the first caller, press and release the hang-up (or LINK/FLASH) button.
  2. Dial *71 followed by the second person’s phone number.
  3. When the second person answers, press and release the hang-up (or LINK/FLASH) button again to start your three-way call.

If you do not subscribe to this feature, a per-use charge may apply.

Just use the Privacy feature of Home & Away™ Online-Manager.

Convenient call screening for private or blocked numbers. Every time a call from one of these numbers arrives, the caller will hear an announcement that you’re not accepting calls from anonymous numbers.

To turn on Anonymous Caller Rejection,
dial *77 and listen for a busy signal.

To turn off Anonymous Caller Rejection,
dial *87 and listen for a busy signal.
